nanoCF™ Assay System  A Novel Tool for Mechanistic Studies

Eksigent Technologies has developed a novel assay platform that combines liquid-handling, incubation, detection and analysis in a tightly integrated package to provide unprecedented data quality and facilitate detailed mechanistic studies. The nanoCF assay system is a novel, microfluidic-based platform for homogeneous biochemical assays that employs continuous flow to facilitate continuous titration of assay reagents and / or compounds to determine user-defined kinetic parameters. By using leading-edge, nanoflow pumping and microfabrication technology the system requires than 1% of the reagent required by conventional methods whilst enabling more detailed biochemical studies, which hitherto have been unachievable. The principles of operation and performance specifications of the nanoCF system are demonstrated, and a novel streamlined process for mechanism of action determination is described.
