New Release Keeps Pace with the Latest Cardiac Electrophysiology Knowledge
2009 HRS Meeting Products digitally deliver oral presentations from HRS Scientific Sessions
Conference Archives, Inc. (CAI) releases webcast products from the Heart Rhythm Society’s (HRS) 2009 annual Scientific Sessions meeting for those looking to keep pace with the latest clinical and research-related developments in cardiac electrophysiology.
The enduring materials, produced by CAI and released by HRS, are digital archives of oral presentations, which were captured at the HRS’s 2009 annual Scientific Sessions meeting held from May 13-16, 2009 in Boston, MA. The products are designed to give medical professionals, students, and faculty access to the latest advancements and knowledge presented at the Scientific Sessions meeting.
“The Heart Rhythm Society continues to set the standard in live and distance education for cardiac arrhythmia professionals through Heart Rhythm OnDemandSM,” says David Sampson, executive vice president at CAI. “Once again, healthcare professionals around the world can access nearly every presentation delivered at Heart Rhythm 2009, maximizing the impact of the science presented on advancements in the treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders.”
Nearly all oral presentations in the Scientific Sessions meeting products are synchronized – audio and slides - to mimic the experience of an oral presentation’s live delivery. Each Scientific Sessions meeting product includes a search function, allowing a user to quickly find relevant content within the product.
The HRS Scientific Sessions meeting products released by CAI are 2009 Highlights Collection (over 80 presentations), the Full Conference Collection (nearly 900 presentations), as well as a la carte presentations. This is the fourth year CAI has captured and released oral presentations from HRS’s Scientific Sessions annual meeting.
All HRS products produced by CAI are stringently reviewed by HRS staff, and are released annually within 90 days of the conclusion of the HRS Scientific Sessions annual meeting. To purchase any of the HRS products listed above, call 814.536.3356 or visit http://www.heartrhythmondemand.org/.

New E-poster and Abstract Site Advancing Drug Discovery and Communication
The Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) announces the delivery of their Annual Meeting posters and abstracts with online commenting through Poster Hall 2.0 developed by Conference Archives, Inc. The SBS e-poster website, accessible to SBS members, brings together posters and abstracts from the 2008 and 2009 SBS Annual Conference & Exhibitions.
The online poster archive enables SBS members the ability to browse or search for posters by keyword and metadata, and then post comments about an individual poster. Further, the SBS poster website allows poster presenters to upload an audio version of their poster presentation.
The Society for Biomolecular Sciences, now in its 15th year, is a leading non-profit scientific society dedicated to advancing the science of drug discovery and related disciplines through education and information exchange among professionals globally.
The Society offers its 2,000-plus members a variety of publications and programs, most notably the Journal of Biomolecular Screening, a highly regarded peer-reviewed resource for cutting edge research, and SBS News, which delivers the latest news and special features related to the Society, drug discovery, and the biomolecular sciences. The cornerstone of the Society’s educational efforts is the Annual Conference & Exhibition.
The Poster Hall 2.0 e-poster solution was designed to enable associations to not only extend access to their meeting posters but to also facilitate discussion of the research.
Delivering online posters is not new, “however, few organizations are delivering online tools to foster communication and scientific collaboration based on this often leading-edge research. The Society for Biomolecular Sciences has recognized the important role that social media tools can play in drug discovery.”
